Is High Fructose Corn Syrup As Bad As Sugar?

Nutrition, Sparky Replies

The idea that high fructose corn syrup [HFCS] consumption is worse than sucrose is unfounded.
Current research supports that HFCS and sucrose are closely the same. They both contain fructose and glucose at approximately equal amounts.
As a consumer flip over your soda or other food item and read the nutritional panel; this will give you total sugar intake. And then go eat an apple!
